Lead Solution Architect
Warsaw, PL, 00-189
About the role
We are looking for an experienced SAP Solution Architect to support the design, development, integration, release, and operation of our SAP solutions.
This is not a purely advisory architecture role. We are looking for someone who can combine strong SAP technical knowledge with a practical, hands-on approach.
The right candidate should be comfortable taking ownership of technical topics, challenging proposed solutions when needed, and ensuring that agreed solutions are successfully carried through development, testing, release, and operation.
The role requires a person who is proactive, communicative, not afraid to speak up, and willing to get involved in technical details when necessary.
Key responsibilities
As an SAP Solution Architect, you will:
- Translate business and technical requirements into appropriate SAP solution designs and technical concepts.
- Assess the impact of planned changes across SAP applications, integrations, infrastructure, and dependent systems.
- Provide architectural guidance to SAP development and technical teams regarding solution design, implementation options, integrations, and technical standards.
- Review proposed technical solutions and identify risks, dependencies, compatibility issues, and potential design weaknesses.
- Support the design and assessment of integrations between SAP and connected systems.
- Provide technical architecture expertise related to SAP S/4HANA, SAP Basis, platforms, infrastructure dependencies, and technical configuration.
- Assess significant releases and changes from an architecture perspective, including dependencies, compatibility, operational impact, and technical risks.
- Help ensure that technical activities are properly coordinated across development, SAP Basis, infrastructure, integration, security, and operational teams.
- Support complex operational issues, regressions, and critical incidents where broader architectural understanding is required.
- Identify technical risks and technical debt and recommend practical mitigation measures.
- Support SAP cybersecurity topics, including system hardening, secure configuration, vulnerabilities, and security-related technical changes.
- Take ownership of agreed architectural topics and help drive them through implementation and release.
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong experience with SAP S/4HANA and a good understanding of the broader SAP technology landscape.
- Understands how SAP applications, development, integrations, SAP Basis, infrastructure, security, and operations influence each other.
- Has experience designing and reviewing SAP solutions rather than focusing only on one technical area.
- Is comfortable working across organizational and technical boundaries.
- Understands the full lifecycle of a solution, from design and development through testing and release to production operation.
- Is able to identify dependencies and risks early and actively follow them up.
- Can translate complex technical topics into clear recommendations and decisions.
- Is willing to go into technical details and work directly with specialists when required.
The way you work is equally important
We are specifically looking for someone who:
- Is outgoing and actively engages with people, rather than waiting for tasks to arrive.
- Is not afraid to speak up, challenge assumptions, or raise technical risks.
- Takes ownership, once a solution or technical direction has been agreed.
- Can coordinate rather than only advises, making sure that the right people are involved and that dependencies are handled.
- Thinks end-to-end, especially when preparing solutions and changes for releases.
- Is hands-on when needed. You should be comfortable moving from an architecture discussion into technical details instead of stopping at a diagram or recommendation.
- Works well with developers, SAP Basis specialists, infrastructure teams, security specialists, operations, and other architects.
