Senior People Business Partner

Ballerup, DK, 2750

At KMD, we build digital solutions used by millions of people around the world. These solutions are the digital foundations of our most important institutions, from governments and public services to financial industries and private companies. Our mission is to ensure that they are reliable, accessible, and efficient.

We believe that the future is what you make it. So a career at KMD is a career with purpose and freedom. One where you’ll have a direct hand in improving the lives of people, while being empowered with the resources and autonomy to shape the course of your own professional journey.

Are you a proactive, businessoriented HR professional with a strong commercial mindset and strategic understanding? And do you thrive on
facilitating discussions that move the organization forward? Then we’d like to hear from you.

About us

For more than 50 years, we’ve helped build and operate the digital infrastructure thatcitizens, governments, and businesses rely on every day. From welfare systems and public administration to critical digital services, our solutions support society from cradle to grave.
Today, societies face new challenges: demographic change, digital sovereignty, climate resilience, and rapid technological disruption. Addressing
these challenges requires trusted partners who understand both technology and the societal context in which it operates.

We’ve spent the last year implementing our new corporate strategy and building a new matrix organization. We’re therefore looking for an experienced People Business Partner (PBP) who can act as a trusted advisor to leaders - supporting the business in translating strategy into people actions and ensuring a strong employee experience across the full People agenda.

The job

You’ll join KMD’s People Business Partner team as one of four PB´s (currently two in Denmark, one in Poland), reporting to the Head of Strategic People Initiatives & Partnering.
In this role you will be working closely with the wider People organization and partner with business leaders to build the capabilities and leadership their teams need.
You won’t inherit a fixed playbook. You’ll help redefine what People Business Partnering means at KMD as we build out the new matrix organization and take part in shaping the setup within one or more of KMD’s strategic business areas. Working closely with senior leaders and managers, you’ll lead the strategic HR agenda, with solid operational delivery as a given.

The role is based at our office in Ballerup, with a hybrid setup and global collaboration.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Owning the strategic people agenda for your business area; workforce, capability, and organizational priorities, and running the annual performance and remuneration cycle as part of it.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor and sparring partner to a senior leadership team on the people and organizational questions that matter most in a complex tech company and contributing to the broader People agenda.
  • Coaching leaders on performance, talent development, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Using data and insights to identify people trends, risks, and opportunities, and translating these into pragmatic HR solutions.
  • Supporting change initiatives, workforce planning, and leadership development, so KMD has the right capabilities for the future.
  • Rolling up your sleeves on the complex cases and working across People functions to resolve high-stakes issues for senior leaders.
  • Being highly visible in the business and building strong relationships with leaders and other key stakeholders across KMD.

About you

We see the PBP role as a critical contributor to business success at KMD; one that calls for a strong consulting mindset and the ability to balance business needs with people and compliance considerations.
You’re an experienced PBP who has built credibility the hard way: by understanding the business, challenging constructively, and delivering results that leaders notice. You’re comfortable supporting People strategy and transformation in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders and shifting priorities.

More specifically, you bring:

  • 7-10 years of solid PBP experience, ideally from a complex professional-services or tech company.
  • A track record of partnering with senior stakeholders on both strategic initiatives and day-to-day people challenges.
  • Experience building or redesigning something - an HR operating model, a function, a way of working - not just running what already exists.
  • Solid experience with organizational design, change management, and talent and leadership development.
  • Comfort with data, using it to build arguments, not just reports.
  • A relevant master’s degree or equivalent, and fluency in Danish and English.

In addition, you’re pragmatic, curious, and direct. You know when to push back and when to get things done, and you build trust by being straight, prepared, and genuinely invested in the teams you support.

To succeed, we believe you are:

  • A credible, relationship-driven strategic advisor who can challenge and support leaders with confidence.
  • Skilled at navigating ambiguity and translating complex business challenges into people-focused action.
  • Confident facilitating discussions, workshops, and leadership dialogues, in person and virtually.

What we offer

We offer a pivotal role in shaping One KMD, working alongside skilled professionals in People and contributing directly to KMD’s future workforce.
More than that, you’ll have real scope to shape the role itself: a voice in how we buildthe PBP function as the matrix organization takes form, influence beyond a single business area, and broad exposure to complex, society critical business challenges and the senior leaders driving them. It’s a chance to bring new thinking to the table and help define the substance of the PBP role of the future.
