At KMD, we build digital solutions used by millions of people around the world. These solutions are the digital foundations of our most important institutions, from governments and public services to financial industries and private companies. Our mission is to ensure that they are reliable, accessible, and efficient.

We believe that the future is what you make it. So a career at KMD is a career with purpose and freedom. One where you’ll have a direct hand in improving the lives of people, while being empowered with the resources and autonomy to shape the course of your own professional journey.

Engineering manager

In KMD we believe that great products require great teams and inspiring leaders. Acting as an Engineering Manager you will lead your teams to utilize their full potential. You will also shape the organization around you to create a thriving environment in which your team can grow and perform at their best.

We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager who brings strong experience working directly with developers and understands their day-to-day challenges. We highly value technical expertise and solid engineering judgment, as we believe that strong substantive (merit-based) and technical knowledge is crucial for effective leadership.

Since we believe that technical background is essential, on a daily basis you are going to balance leadership skills, people management, and technical proficiency – actively engaging in discussions, supporting architectural decisions, and acting as a true partner for your engineering teams.

Working as an Engineering Manager you are going to grow your team and evolve the organization (hiring, performance management, salary talks), develop required competencies (skills and personal development), motivate and energize, and help us improve as an organization. You will be responsible for supporting teams in reaching product goals and executing on the product roadmap as defined in the business strategy.

You will pay special attention to driving improvements within your team in the area of development processes and craftsmanship, while always balancing the tech agenda with product goals and business value. You will act as a sparring partner for developers, testers, DevOps engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders, ensuring strong collaboration.

We also expect you to actively collaborate with engineers on technical topics, support decision-making, and contribute with your own experience to maintain high engineering standards.

You are going to focus on Poland-based teams, so you need to have a thorough understanding of a nearshore organizational setup and be ready to travel from time to time (app. 10% of your time) to Denmark.
